There are many factors which are responsible for the deformation of RCC roads ;
-Shrinkage cracks
– Damaged portion of rigid pavements
– Durability cracks
– Effect of pumping
– Faults in rigid pavements
– Uneven curing
– Delaying in pavements

What are the factors responsible for the deform of RCC road?

Following are some specific reasons for the deformation of RCC roads:

  1. Spalling of joints: higher compressive stress causes the deterioration of the joint is known as spalling of joint.
  2. faulting in the rigid pavement: if the difference in the elevation of joints occurs at the time of construction is called as falling In the rigid pavement or joint. 30 August settlement of the foundation, from the voice water, transmit to the soil subgrade and causes erosion of soil.changes in temperature causes curling of slab edges.

  6. Damaged corner of rigid pavement: this failure occurs due to excessive mud pumping. When pumping removes all the surface was soil then this type of cracks occur.
