Rental charges are not fixed; there are many factors which affect the rental cost:
- Location of work, and availability of supplier in that location: Location of site, the terrain of the site, If there are no local suppliers than the cost may be higher.
- Type of terms and condition for the rental agreement: Fixed hours Vs. Flex. hours, Fuel will be provided by which stakeholder, Inspection will be done by which stakeholder, the Machine operator will be by which stakeholder, Insurance will be by which stakeholder, Equipment maintenance will be under whose scope, etc..
- Duration of renting: If the machine is rented for longer time period there are chances that the rent may be less as compared to less duration.
- Type of machinery and model of machinery: If it is a crawler-mounted, or wheel mounted, fixed or mobile equipment (In crane). The capacity of required machinery, etc…
There may be many other reasons, which can affect the rental cost of the machine, but an estimate can be done by working out its owning and operating cost.
